The opening of this year’s Betina Film Festival is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept 1, and it goes until Saturday, Sept 5. Visitors will be able to watch short films at as many as four locations in 12 projection blocks all around Betina!
Betina Film Festival (BAFF) is a five-day film festival of Croatian and International film being held for the third time in Betina.
The festival is focused on promoting Croatian cinematography, presentation of International selection of short films, education and film art research.
The competition program, divided into international and domestic category, shows original, diverse and quality films by Croatian, foreign and, since 2019, Croatian young authors.
The festival consists of BAFF Domaćica and BAFF International – live screenings and short film competitions of both Croatian and foreign, divided into three categories: animated, documentary and feature films competing for the main awards and award-winning contemporary Croatian feature film.
BAFF brings us also BAFF Campus and BAFF Kids – programs especially focused on the promotion, education and networking of young filmmakers and the education and development of film creative skills in children. Through workshops, masterclasses and a debate club, the organizers want to develop an interest and love for film, create current and future film audiences and encourage critical thinking about film.
The wish of the organizers is for Betina to become a recognizable place for dialogue and participation on the topic of film, art and industry.
The festival program begins with the film Druker / Snitch, directed by Rino Barbir, starting at 20:30, location – Kino riva.
Take a look at the BAFF 2020 Program and get ready for as many as 41 short Croatian and International films and two special feature films out of competition.
Baff Zona and After Party every night 🙂 Relax and enjoy the Festival!
