Days of Small Wooden Shipbuilding

August is the time when our Museum is head organizer of the Days of Small Wooden Shipbuilding. The programme is dedicated to lovers of the sea and ships, maritime heritage and tradition. The intention organizing this event is to get a little closer to a wider audience and to point out the importance of preserving our maritime culture. The programme is divided into 6 days during which various lectures and workshops will be held. We’re expecting expert lecturers and presenters in various fields, interesting topics and, as an end to this event, the well – known Regatta “Za dušu i tilo” (For Body and Soul) will took place in Betina harbour. Regatta is the highlight of the summer in Betina for many reasons. We’re proud of the regatta mostly because of a significant number of renewed wooden boats competing – or, since the competition itself is not the main reason for participating in this regatta, just hanging around with friends and families, having fun, sailing, enjoying life…
