This year’s event Night of Museums was successful in our Museum. Over 400 visitors came to see the Museum’s collection followed by the event programme, exhibition and the concert. The subject of this year’s event was Music, great performers of music and its influence on society. We have chosen to set up the exhibition of sound players through the past century. There were 14 different items collected and described by their name, type, year of origin and the owner. People really liked the exhibition, some of them were quite emotional about it since it brought back happy memories.
Just after the opening we’ve had a bus full of visitors from Dubrovnik who came to see the Museum’s collection with the guidance of our curator. They really enjoyed the visit and their reactions were especially positive after they’ve tried some of the local cuisine’s specialties being prepared by local chefs outside the Museum! Outside we’ve set up a fire place to heat up the hands and there was hot wine and traditional dishes of the village to try. Our DJ for the night was playing some good old music for the people to enjoy the evening even more. The children performed a short concert on cello and clarinet.
